Connect6 Homepage

The Connect6 game, first introduced by Professor I-Chen Wu, is a fair and highly complex game with simple rules. The game is a kind of 6-in-a-row game.  However, each player can place two stones for each move, except for the first player's first move.  The game is balanced or intuitively fair in the sense that one player always has one more stone than the other after making each move.

Since Professor Wu presented Connect6 in the 11th Advances in Computer Games Conference (ACG'11), Taipei, Taiwan, September 2005.  in September, 2005, there are many subsequent events.

  • In September 2005: The Connect6 entry has been put in Wikipedia.
  • In September 2005, ThinkNewIdea Limited built the first Connect6 game server.
  • In September 2005, the game was covered by many news media in Taiwan.
  • In October 2005, an interested group in Taiwan formed a Connect6 club and forum.
  • In Novemember 2005, an interested group in China formed a Baidubar forum supporting a forum for discussion.
  • In January 2006, Connect6 became a tournament item of Computer Olympiad. Computer Olympiad has 3 Connect6 teams in 2006 and 4 teams in 2007.
  • In March 2006, Connect6 was added to http://www.littlegolem.net/. More forums and game sites were created.
  • On July 16th, 2006, The First Annual NCTU Cup Connect6 Open Tournament was sponsored by National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) and held in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
