Welcome to the open Connect6 joseki system. In this joseki system, all members can input joseki records, while they are reviewed and audited by Taiwan Connect6 Association.
For naming the openings, we basically follow the DIF naming system, authored by Wen-Jing Hsu (except for those which may be more suitable for programming in the future). The reasons are: (1) The DIF naming system can cover most major opening, (2) it is not hard to remember the first stone position, (3) it is easiser for non-Chinese players to read, and (4) it is very close to our original plan, which simply uses all coordinations to represent each opening. In this naming system, the major classes of openings are listed as follows, T-Opening, X-Opening, TT-Opening, TX-Opening, XX-Opening. In case of redundant patterns, we follow the above sequences.
Each game record has a unique id. For example, TX-H9 joseki is marked by Joseki 509.
"Contributor" of the joseki record includes the first persons who came up with this move and you want to give him/her the credit.
"Invention time": the time when the joseki record firstly invented or recorded.
"Situation" means the game situation of the joseki record. The values include "B wins", "W wins", "Strongly pro-B", "Strongly pro-W", "pro-B", "pro-W", "Weakly pro-B", "Weakly pro-W", "Unknown". If this joseki record has been verified by programs (we use "NCTU6", written by the Connect6 team led by Prof. I-Chen Wu, so far), "(verified)" will be marked.
"Poster": The person who post the joseki record.
"Comments": The comment for the joseki record.
"Creation time": The time when the joseki record is first posted. This is generated by the system.
"Referred": The records that have been referred to in this comment.
"Variations": The subsequent variations of the joseki record.
"Reader Comments": The comments from the members. Some good ones will be moved to the "Comments" by system maintainers.
"Last updated": The newly updated joseki records.
"Identical-position josekis": The joseki records that have the same game position.
